Tuesday Talk {The Masters}

Saturday morning, my guys were up at 4:45AM
to get ready for their FUN FILLED Day in Augusta, GA!!

All smiles with their passes!!

They left around 5:30 am
and
stopped and picked up Rob and Brett

Here are our 4 guys about to head into The MASTERS!!
#iwasjustasexcited

So I asked Ian to tell me all about his day because I wanted to document it,
so he would have it years later to share!!

So here is my boys day at The Masters

Ian said once they got into the gate, they went to the putting green to watch Bubba Watson!

They then wen to the gift shop and bought their Masters goodies!!

They then walked hole 1 and 2 to watch Bubba again!

After that it was snack time....
Ian said he ate 2 chicken caesar wraps and daddy ate 5 egg salad sandwiches through out the day!! But in Ben's defense...I have heard their food is AMAZING!!

and the prices are CHEAP!!

They walked the rest of the front 9 and then hung out at Amen Corner....

Real hard view.... ;)

According to About Sports...here is the definition of "Amen Corner"

Question: What Is 'Amen Corner'?
Answer: "Amen Corner" is the monicker given to a 3-hole section of the back nine on Augusta National Golf Club. It is comprised of hole Nos. 11, 12 and 13:
  • Hole 11: Named "White Dogwood." This is a par-4 hole that plays 505 yards.
  • Hole 12: Named "Golden Bell." This par-3 hole is 155 yards with Rae's Creek fronting the green. The Hogan Bridge and Nelson Bridge both cross the creek near this hole.
  • Hole 13: Named "Azalea." This is a par-5 hole that plays 510 yards.
The Boys then walked backed to hole 2 and hung out their awhile and watched

Jason Day

Dustin Johnson

Rory McIlroy

He hit a shot so close to them, Ian said he could have almost touched him!!

Jordan Spieth

At one point, Jordan was so close to the guys Ian could have said "Hey Jordan" in his normal voice and Jordan would have heard him......How freaking awesome is that for an 11 year old little boy who has recently been bitten by the Golf bug!!

Ian started taking Golf very seriously this year!! He plays every chance he gets and has taken a few lessons!!

Ben said they saw lots more players....these 4 were who Ian was most excited to see!!

They then went to the Grand Stands on hole 8 and watched all the teams play through!

They ended up leaving Augusta National around 6pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016

It is a DAY all 4 guys will NEVER FORGET!!

They are so blessed that they were about to get tickets and watch such an AMAZING golf event in person!
Most people never have the opportunity!

Ben said "it was like a dream...to experience The Masters with his son"

Ben and Ian were really hoping that Spieth would have won the 2016 Masters and become a back to back champ....but unfortunately he didn't win

Danny Willett
2016 Masters Champ

And this is what a 11 year old little boy looks like leaving The Masters

I completely understand why you are not allowed to take your phone/cameras into the golf course, so Thank you Google Images for the pictures:)

  1. Wow. What a super experience for them. Super cool. I would love to go once in my life.

I get to the LPGA Pro-Am next Wednesday in San Francisco but that is nothing like the Masters.

Go Augusta Greenjackets. I do own their cap.
