Well enough with me griping!
I'm going to let you in on a little secret! I'm going to show you how I glitter all my stemless wine glasses!! I use the same process for wine glasses with stems, coffee mugs, tumblers, etc!!
Here is what you will need:
Stemless wine glass
Glitter (extra fine)
small paint brush
glitter tray (Martha Stewarts' are my Favorite)
Mod Podge (gloss)
small paper plate
electrical tape
I'll let you in on another secret! I'm a horrible picture taker! But I'm working on it!
Make sure it is Extra Fine Glitter! I use this Creatology brand and Artminds!
I can find them at Michael's
Here is what the Mod Podge bottle looks like....
Then I use the electrical tape and "tape" off the bottom section! I put the tape at the top of the curve part of the bottom of the glass!! (I hope that makes sense)
Next, I paint on my Mod Podge~
Once the bottom of my glass is painted with Mod Podge I sprinkle the glitter all around the bottom over my glitter tray!
I peel off my electrical tape! If you let the glitter dry with the tape around the top it will mess up the glitter! Let the first coat of glitter dry for at least an hour! I generally let the first coat dry around 3 hours!
I repeat the glitter process! Paint with Mod Podge. Just be careful around the top of the glitter because your tape guide is not there any more!
Sprinkle with more glitter!
Finally I add a VERY thin layer of Mod Podge to "seal" the glitter! Let dry for at least 6-8 hours!!
I mean VERY thin layer!! Once it drys, the glitter will not shed and sparkle beautifully!!
Look at all that sparkle!
I love this rose gold glitter color!!
I'll show you next week how I apply all those super cute vinyl decals!!
Have you ever added glitter to one of your favorite drink ware?? If so, what process did you use?? Please share in the comments!!
Hope you guys have an amazing day!
UPDATE: Once you glitter your wine glass it is HAND WASH ONLY!!
