Our Week with Fright Fest and A Surprise Anniversary Party

Hello Monday and Hello Fall Break. Whew...what a busy weekend! I am recapping last week and this weekend. If you blogged, link up below!

Monday, September 27th-

Coffee, Jesus, Kids to School. Then I was just in a funk and couldn't get myself out of it for some reason. I didn't get much done except laundry.

My new bible study book arrived. I started it this morning!

I crashed early to just get the day over with... I needed sleep and a new attitude.

Tuesday, September 28th-

Coffee, Jesus, Kids to School. I came back home to hop on a PTO Zoom call for Ella's school. I worked in the craft room and this is what was beside me...

Love all three of these pups.

After I picked up Ella, I took her to get her eyebrows waxed. When we got home, I cooked dinner. Chicken Alfredo. When Ian got home from Kathryn's game, we all crashed.

Wednesday, September 29th-

Coffee and Jesus. Got a ride on the Peloton. Kids to school.

When I got home, I got myself ready and headed out to run a few errands, had lunch with Ben, and picked Ella up in carpool line with her favorite coffee.

She snapped this picture of me wearing my new shirt from Amazon that I will share again tomorrow.

The rest of the day was spent in the craft room, cooking dinner, studying, and calling it a night.

Thursday, September 30th-

Coffee, Jesus, kids to school, dogs to groomer. I cleaned out the hall closet, picked up the pups, had lunch, finished a book, and sat down to type all the blog post.

I finished laundry and towels, decorated the bar cart for Halloween. Around 7, I went to pick up Ella from school after the football game. Ian went to Legend's and to Kathryn's game.

By 9pm, we were ready to crash.

Friday, October 1st-

Coffee and Jesus. Kids to school. I worked on a few things then went to meet Leigh Anne for lunch. We went to a cute local shop. Then I ran a few errands for the Anniversary party for Sunday.

I went to get Ella from school. Ben and Ian got home. Ian ran Ella to Addison's to get ready for the football game. Ian went homecoming shoe shopping with Kathryn, Ben went to the football game with Ella. While I did this..... but after I decorated the porch for Fall and got all my serving pieces together for Sunday.

Christmas movie while drinking wine from a pumpkin glass!

But not before Ian had the dogs doing tricks for treats!

I crashed a little after 10. I didn't even here Ben and Ella get home. HA

Saturday, October 2nd-

Coffee, Breakfast, and Jesus. Ian went to Legend's to practice while Ben and I enjoyed a quiet morning.

At Noon, we turned on the game while Ella and I went to pick up her friends and then lunch to later to head to Six Flags for Fright Fest.

We had the best time. Luckily, it wasn't to scary.

We got home and crashed at 1AM with an alarm set for 5AM. Nice little 4 hour nap! HA

Sunday, October 3rd-

We got up at 5:15am to start smoking the pork tenderloin. We did get to doze off for 30 more minutes but we had so much other stuff to do.

At 11am, we got to the party location for my sister and brother in law's SURPRISE 30th anniversary. This was the hardest secret I have ever had to keep.

The following pictures and there are a lot of them are in no particular in order...

Tonya has always wanted a 2 tiered blue cake.

Loved all the old pictures of them. Amber did a great job collecting all these pictures.

It was so much fun putting together these boards.

Tonya thought they were meeting the kids for a festival and food trucks so she was in full Grammysaurus mode! HA

Halie's aunt did an amazing job on the flowers.

Sweet Halie- This party was all her idea. We just helped her make it a reality.

Cutting the cake again 30 years later.

It was such a great party and they were both truly surprised. I call that a success!!
