Our Week with Finishing The Bible ReCap, NYE, and Georgia Lost.

Hey Y'all! Happy Tuesday!

Monday, December 30th-

Ben spent the night at the hospital with his mom. I held the fort down. Ella went to babysit Wes, Coffee and Jesus for me. Ian went to the hospital to visit Grammy. I went to workout and then home to get ready and head to the hospital. Once Ella was done babysitting Wes, she came to the hospital. Grammy was feeling better but not 100%!

This was Trixie at 3:25 AM in her daddy's spot in the bed....

During my quiet time, I finished reading through the bible for the second time.

After everyone got home from the hospital except Ben, Ella went to spend the night with her friends, Ian grilled him and Kathryn steaks for dinner, and I just chilled before crashing.

Tuesday, December 31st- NYE

Ben woke up at the hospital again, coffee for me, Ian went back to the hospital to see Grammy, I went to workout, Ella hung out with friends and then to get ready to go to a NYE party, I got ready and headed back to the hospital to visit Ben and Grammy, Ian and I stop at El Real for dinner, he went to pick up Kathryn, then they got to the house and it was the 3 of us to ring in 2025.

Trixie and Duke HATE NYE and 4th of July! 😜

Welcome 2025. Much different than how we usually ring in the new year. But I am thankful for a husband that shows up for his mom setting an example for Ian.

Trixie hid under our bed and Duke just trembled for a while.

I finally went to bed around 1AM. Duke went to Ian's room. Trixie finally came out from under our bed around 3AM.

Wednesday, January 1st-

Ben was still at the hospital. Coffee and Jesus for me, Ian slept in, Ella got home mid-morning, I cleaned up the house, did some laundry, ran to Publix, started Chicken tortilla Soup for dinner, Ben got home around 7:15PM after his mom was released and his brother took her home.

I met my goal of 55 books in 2024 and set another goal of 55 for 2025

Trixie was exhausted and wanted to stay in bed all day.

After cleaning and feeling like I was playing catching up, I poured a glass of wine around 5:15 and got Ian to start a fire. Ian and Kathryn played card games until Ben got home.

Once Ben got home at 7:15, we ate, and pretty much crashed.

Thursday, January 2nd-

Ben to the office, Coffee and Jesus for me, the kids slept in, I took Keri to her dr's appointment in Athens all decked out in my UGA gear....

While she was in her appointment, I ran to Publix to get stuff to make smash burgers on the new Blackstone for the GA game. When I got home, I organized my Christmas wrapping paper and got that stored away then started cooking with Ben! Y'all that was a tough game. 1st the attack in New Orleans on New Years morning which lead to the postponing of the game until today. Then we found out that Kirby's dad fell and broke his hip and needed surgery and then had complications during surgery which lead to him passing away on January 4th. So sad and a huge loss for the Bulldawg Nation.

After that tough loss, we all chilled and crashed early. It has been a long few exhausting days in our house.

Friday, January 3rd-

Ben to the office, Coffee and Jesus for me, Ian took Grammy a heated blanket and then met Ben at the golf course for them to play. I did a clean sweep, Ella went to her hair appointment, I set up my planner for the week, blog post, and then got ready to head to dinner and Addison's basketball game.

We got home around 9pm, crawled into bed, and watched videos on how to make fried rice on the Blackstone. Y'all that is a tricky one. Ben will need to practice this one.

Saturday, January 4th-

Coffee and Jesus for me, my boys went to the course (they are CRAZY), and Ella was at Addison's house. I got ready and went to pick up Grammy to take her to her bus to grab her personal items since she will be out of work for at least 2 weeks.
Once I dropped her off, I ran to Publix, and then home to eat lunch before heading to pick up my WalMart order.
I got home, unloaded groceries, started dog food to cook, meal prepped pasta salad, froze chicken tortilla soup for my lunches, made yogurt parfaits, started spaghetti for dinner.

We did get this photo of the boys at breakfast before their crazy selves went out in the freezing cold to play golf.

I also dyed my hair, cleaned up the kitchen, worked on blog post, watched part of Jimmy Carter's private funeral service, more blog typing, and then crashing.

Sunday, January 5th-

We got up and headed to church. Waffle House after church and then to Dick's and Costco. When we got home, we unloaded groceries and put everything away. We piled on the couches and watched the Falcons game. Ella needed a few school supplies to start back to school so we loaded up went to Office Max, back to Dick's for Ben to make an exchange, and then dinner at Chili's. We got home, Ella put her new binders together, I got coffee set for the next morning, gathered trash and took it to the street before curling up on the couch!
