Our Mother-Daughter Trip to Charleston, South Carolina.

Hello Monday! I can't believe July is almost gone and my kids start back to school next week. Seriously, where did this summer go??

I am recapping our second annual mother-daughter trip and this year we went to Charleston. If you blogged, link up below!

I will warn you...LOTS of pictures.

Thursday, July 15th-

We got on the road right at 2:00pm and got to our hotel a little before 7pm. We stayed in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We got checked in, the girls changed clothes, and we headed to dinner.

We went to Saltwater Cowboy on Shem Creek. We got our name on the waitlist and enjoyed a drink and this view.

I love these girls so much.

These little tiki cruises were cracking us up.

We finally got a table and look at this amazing food.

I got the BBQ shrimp and grits. Just amazing.

We got back to the hotel late and crashed into bed.

Friday, July 16th-

We started our day with a 2 hour kayaking tour.

We had so much FUN. We learned a lot about Charleston and we even saw a dolphin swimming by us when we were paddling back in. We tried to get a picture but we were not fast enough.

After the tour, we went back to the room to shower and get ready to head back out for the day.

We crossed the Ravenel Bridge to take us to Charleston.

We parked and walked through the city market and then continued walking downtown.

We stopped by the cutest little french bakery, Le Macaron, for some macarons.

We walked around for a little bit more.

Changed clothes in the car and while we waited to have dinner at Hyman's Seafood these beautiful girls had a fun little photoshoot.

After dinner, we went on a ghost tour. We were hoping it would be a little scary and it was not. It was very educational but not scary at all.

Not to mention, the buildings are beautiful even at night.

Love this sweet girl of mine.

We got back to the room plenty late again and crashed into bed.

Saturday, July 17th-

We started our morning at The Vicious Biscuit. and oh my goodness....

I have the cutest photobomber.

Biscuits and Gravy!

After breakfast, we took the girls shopping at Palmetto Moon.

Then we drove back to downtown Charleston and look what we found....

Do you recognize it???

It's from Outer Banks from Netflix!

Next we walked through Washington park. Which also was in Outer Banks.

We walked to Rainbow Row.

These flowers were BEAUTIFUL!

Later we walked to The Battery.

After The Battery, we got back in the car and drove to find the location of the "sheriff's office" in Outer Banks.

We went back to the hotel to recharge and change clothes. We knew we were going to dinner at The Wreck at 5pm as soon as they opened before it got crowded. The Wreck was Kia's parents restaurant in Outer Banks. The food was so GOOD!

However, this girl only ate hush puppies.  😜

Cool pictures from the actors.

After dinner we walked down the pier.

We watched a few people fish and this kid caught this crab and a stingray.

This boat was also in Outer Banks. It's the boat that caught the dead bodies in their nets.

This was Pope's dad's market in the show.

We ended the night with ice cream.

We got back to the room and packed as much as we could since we were leaving early the next morning. Then we crashed hard again.

Sunday, July 18th-

We went to breakfast at 8am at Page's Okra Grill. It was really really good too!! We were on the road right at 9:30 and soon after this happened in the backseat.

Once we got home, we spent the afternoon doing all the things to get ready for the week ahead.

We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year. We thought we might go to Nashville but we have changed our minds. We will go there maybe in 2023.
