Our Week Dropping Ella off at College, Date Nights, and Bid Day.

Hey Y'all! Happy Tuesday! I am back with a weekly recap. I am recapping August 10th-16th. Y'all what a week it was...

Monday, August 10th-

Ian to work, Ben to the office, and coffee and Jesus for me. I went to workout at Burn then ran to wash my car and to Publix. Ella requested fajita chicken for her last meal at home for a while.

My house was a revolving door of Ella's friends coming to say goodbye before she leaves for college. I was doing ok but then had a moment. About the time, I was having a moment my mom called and I lost it. I cried and cried.

I did get to do a little blog work and watched Hart of Dixie for like the 100th time.

She showed Addison all her dorm stuff.

I sat on the couch with these 2 girls.

We didn't get to load the cars because it came a bad thunderstorm. Ella ran outside and grabbed little cat.

We finally crashed.

Tuesday, August 11th-

Ian to work and the rest of us got up around 5:30 to get ready and load our cars. We were on the road around 7am to Statesboro, GA

Ella cried when she had to tell Trixie by and actually leave the house.

We got to Statesboro, she picked up her key, and let the moving in begin.

We got a lot done. Ella had a meeting for rush at 3:30 so Ben and I went to eat. We came back to her dorm and I cleaned some more. Once she got back, we went to Walmart and then I took these pictures.

Ben and I got on the road home around 7pm. I did better than I thought I would leaving her. I teared up but overall I was ok. She is so HAPPY y'all. We got home around10:30, showered, and crashed.

Wednesday, August 12th-

Ian to work, Ben to the office, and coffee and Jesus for me. I went to workout at Burn, washed my car again, and grabbed CFA for an early lunch. I got home and did laundry and just chilled because y'all I was exhausted from Tuesday.

Thursday, August 13th-

Ian to work, Ben to play in a golf tournament, and coffee and Jesus for me. I walked with Keri. Then I showered and ran to Firehouse subs for lunch and to Hobby Lobby and Publix. I put salsa chicken in the crockpot.

By 6:30, this was Trixie and I. We ate early since the boys were home early. The kitchen was cleaned up, coffee set for Friday, showered, and in pjs.

Friday, August 14th-

Ian to work, Ben to the office, and coffee and Jesus for me. I went to workout at Burn, grabbed CFA for a quick breakfast, LA and I got back to our house, we ate, got ready, and headed to Downtown Monroe for shopping and lunch.

This was sweet Trixie before I left to go workout.

I got home, chilled, and then Ben and I headed to The Bistro for dinner. We were planning on sitting at the bar but then Jud and Stephanie showed up about 2 minutes after us so we joined then at a high top. The dirty martini's were amazing.

We got home fairly early, so Ben smoked a cigar on the back deck, and I joined him with another drink. We finally crashed.

Saturday, August 15th-

Ian had to work and Ben went to play golf. I enjoyed a slow morning with coffee and Jesus. Then I went to the farmers market. We watched a movie and eventually got ready and headed to The Battery to meet Josh and Carly for dinner at C. Ellet's. We ended up at Burn. Ben and I got home at MIDNIGHT with my alarm set for 4am.....😳

We did get this text from Ella... She was getting a little home sick and her friends showed up.

Sunday, August 16th-

Ben and I were on the road to Statesboro around 5:20AM. We got to Ella's dorm and dropped off a bag to her of stuff she needed, ran to a gas station to potty, parked and chilled for a minute before walking to greek row.

We knew that Ella "prefed" ZTA and Chi O as her backup. Thankfully they are neighbors so Ben and I stood on the sideway in between those houses for a little bit. It was SO HOT. In front of the ZTA house was a very small area of shade so Ben and I went to stand in it. We were only standing there for a minute when a girl walked up to me and asked if m daughter was "running home to ZTA today". I said I hope so but we are waiting to find out. Well she introduced herself and she was the current President of ZTA, she checked her phone and told us that Ella was in fact "running home to ZTA". Ben and I were so exited for her. We got to meet her "bid day buddy", Tori. Tori told us exactly were to stand to get the best view of her running home. Around 10:15, the new ZTA girls RAN HOME. Y'all it was a CRAZY day.
