Hey Y'all! Happy August 1st! Happy Ella's first day of SENIOR year. If you need me today, you can find me sitting on the couch crying...... How on earth is my baby a SENIOR????

Today I thought I would share some of Ella's favorite school items.

Our Week with Back to School and the Member/Member Tournament.

Hello Monday! How was your weekend? Ours was pretty low key! As usual, I am recapping last week and this weekend. If you blogged, make sure you link up below.

Let's Taco About Going Back to School

I can't believe my babies went back to school yesterday. I know I say this every year but this summer FLEW by. I have no idea where July went...

But with all that being said, Let's Taco About Going Back to School...

Friday Favorites | Back to School

Happy Friday Friends! We are waking up in Steinhatchee, FL and going scalloping today! I am SO EXCITED!! I will recap our trip next week.

My kids start back to school on Tuesday and I have to admit, We are NOT ready. We really need a schedule/routine but we want a few more weeks of summer even more.

But since I can't change the school calendar, I am sharing a few of my FAVORITE Back to School post from different bloggers.

Taco 'Bout going Back to School

Happy Wednesday Friends! We are on day 3 of digital learning and so far so good. They are both handling it like champs but are so ready to be back in the classroom.

Today I am sharing our annual back to school dinner and our first day of school pictures!

Sunday, August 16th I sat up our Taco 'Bout going Back to School dinner.

Let's Taco 'bout going back to School.

Hey Friends! Well it's our second day of school and my house is entirely too quiet! But on a brighter note, I am getting a lot accomplished while they are gone!

I'm dedicating this Friday Favorites post to BACK TO SCHOOL!

Back to School

The kids have officially been back in school for 1 week now. We are still trying to get into a back to school routine.
I'm going to share a few tips on how we make going back to school a little easier.

BOOKBAG AREA

I  have shared our bookbag area before. This year I tweaked it just a little bit.

Here is the bookbag area during the day.

I got the crates 2 years ago at Michael's

They are filled with books. I love my shiplap lover sign Stephanie gave me.

The kids each need to take a book to school every day in case they have a few extra moments when they complete their work.

The top two crates have clipboards in them with each kid's important papers for school.

At the very top, I have jars filled with pencils, pens, and colored pencils.

This is what it looks like when Ian and Ella get home!

YUMBOXES

You have heard me shout my praises for these Yumboxes. I first heard of them from Andrea over at Momfessionals and they are awesome.  We try to meal prep every Sunday evening.

I will sometimes put ranch dressing in the little circle part and it doesn't leak.

PLANNER

I REALLY think I found the planner for me this time, girls! I switched to the Erin Condren Life Planner with the academic schedule. July 2018-June 2019. My year revolves around the school year so it only makes sense for my planner to do that as well!!

I write everything in my planner. If I don't write it down chances are very high that it will not get done.

I chose the vertical layout. I break the 3 boxes for each day into Morning, Afternoon/Evening, and the last one is my To-Do list for the day.
Are you a paper planner girl or a digital calendar??

For back to school clothes, we take the kids shopping to the outlets and the mall. We only get a few items to start since its still so hot when they start back to school. Then we will take them shopping again when the weather starts cooling off.

My kids get in bed around 9:00 PM. and most nights fall fast asleep. Ian gets up at 6:00 AM and Ella gets up around 7:00 AM.

How do you get your kids in a back to school routine?? Please share your tips below!

Friday Favorites | Back to School Edition

Happy Friday! We survived the first 3 days of school! Yippee!!! It's so hard for me to think this is Ian's LAST year of middle school and Ella's LAST year of Elementary School. I swear Ian was just in Pre-K last year! Where does the time go??

I'm sharing a few of our FAVORITES from this week...It's going to be short and sweet this week.

Tuesday, I took my FAVORITE girl to lunch and to get a "back to school" manicure and pedicure. But not before we stopped to have lunch at her FAVORITE place. Chick-Fil-A!

I was sporting a new pair of my FAVORITE earrings from ADV Designs. I first heard about this shop from Whitney. This is the second time I have ordered from this shop and I am in love.

Just look at all my goodies! The earrings are so lightweight. I forget that I even have them on. Make sure to check out her shop because everything is 40% off.

Wednesday, the kids started back to school. I can't believe our summer is OVER.

First Day of 8th Grade.

Off he goes...next year I will be dropping off a HIGH SCHOOLER. Say what???

After dropping off Ian, I got back home to get Ella ready for her first day of 5th grade.

She wanted to show support for one of her FAVORITE books. 😉

The last time I will walk one of my babies into school on their first day of school. I'm not going to lie...I teared up when I got to the car.

The best 5th-grade teacher there ever was...

My FAVORITE carpool buddy and I back in action!! I tried to get Duke to ride with us but he looked at me like I was STUPID.

What have you been up to this week?? The rest of this week I have been trying to find my "groove" again with working, working out, housework, blogging, etc. It has been rough but I'm hoping next week will be better!

Cheers 🍷to the weekend friends!!
