How I use my Simplified Planner.

*this post is NOT sponsored. All opinions are my own.

If you have been around for awhile then you know that I am a paper planner girl. #plannernerdforever. I just can't do a digital calendar. I just can't. For years I have used my beloved Erin Condren Life Planner. However, this year I wanted to switch it up a bit and ordered The Day Designer. I loved the layout of my Day Designer but I didn't LOVE the size of the Day Designer. Then, as I was getting into the new year, I quickly realized that I wasn't using the awesome layout at the top of each day in the Day Designer. A place for you to write out your Top 3 Things that you want to get done that day, etc.  Again, both planners I just mentioned are AMAZING products, great quality. They just didn't work for me.

I mentioned last month that I discovered Emily Ley's New Book A Simplified Life. I read it so quickly and immediately started putting every suggestion into practice. Then, I grabbed Grace Not Perfection. EVERY woman needs to read that book. I found myself shaking my head through the WHOLE book.

After I finished reading both of Emily's books I thought I would give her planner a try and I don't know if I will ever change planners again. It's a PERFECT size and so SIMPLY. Everything I was looking for.

*I was recently accepted into the Emily Ley affiliate program so I have permission to use these photos.

I wear a lot of "hats" so to say. I am a wife, a mother of an active 13-year-old boy...hello golf & track, a mother of an active 10-year-old girl...chrous and science olympiad, Blogger, Etsy Shop Owner, PTO President at Ella's school, PTO Secretary at Ian's school, recent gym rat, and Weight Watcher member... My days are never boring so it is CRITICAL that I stay organized and the Simplified Planner is helping me accomplish just that.

Here is my actual planner.

As you can see it is not super thick.

Now, let me show you how I use my planner.

On the monthly page view, I use it to plan my blog post. I first fill in all the link up parties that I join each month or ones that I co-host.

A few months ago, I cut back to blogging 4 days a week and it was amazing for my sanity. That is why every Thursday is blank.

In the Notes section of the monthly page view, I write post ideas that I have for the month.

Here is a view of the day views. Each day gets its own page. Which I LOVE! I like to write out EVERYTHING!

As you can see this was my day on Valentine's Day. Pretty simple, right?

Here is my day layout for Monday and Tuesday of this week. You can see that I "fancied" it up a bit with a few stickers.

A closer view. If I do not complete something on my to-do list for the day, I simply put an X by it and move it to the next day.

A closer view of yesterday. I was able to mark off a few more items after photographing for this post!

I love the inside pocket that I can slip appointment cards, special cards, or other lists that I need to add to my calendar.

For stickers, I use a WIDE range but I especially love the by The Happy Planner that I can pick up from Michael's on sale.

Here are a few other ways to use your monthly view.

and your daily view.
