Quarantine Week 3 & Part of Week 4

Hey Hey Friends! How is everyone doing? Are you all surviving? Like I mentioned before I want to recap this time as a scrapbook for my family to look back on. I know the days are pretty much the same but it helps me to get everything out especially my feelings.

Let me backup to Monday, March 30th.

It was just another day around here. School work and housework! I did have to take Trixie to the Vet because she had an ear infection. They came out to the car to ask her history and pick her up. Then they took her in for her visit and the vet came out to talk to me in my car from the passenger side window. She updated me on her condition and the treatment she received. Then the vet tech brought her back out to the car and I called to make my payment. It was sad but I completely understood why they did it that way. It was like sending my kid into the pediatricians office without me.

After getting everyone settled for the evening, I laid down to read and this is what my Kindle looked like...

After a moment of panic. Luckily, I was able to reboot it by holding down the power button.

Tuesday, March 31st-

It was more school work and then I had to venture out to the grocery store. I am the shopper of the family. Luckily, our grocery store is being extra clean, cleaning carts as you walk in, they have the 6 feet apart marked, etc. I spray the bags down, wash my hands, clean the surface that I sat the groceries on, then throw the bags away.

Ella wanted a selfie and how could I refuse.

Right after this I found out CMA FEST 2020 has been CANCELED. Leigh Anne and I were kind of expecting this news but that doesn't make it any easier. I mean CMA fest is the first weekend in June. I was HOPING this mess would all be over with by then. I completely understand but it still sucks. Luckily, they will honor 2020 tickets in 2021 so we already have our girls trip planned for next year!

I finished the day by taking pictures of my Easter carts for the blog last Friday!

Wednesday, April 1st-

Much of the same- school work and housework. Ian went to the golf course that afternoon and Ben picked him up on his way home from work. Yes, Ben still has to go to the office everyday!

Around 4:00pm, we listen to our Governor cancel school for the rest of this year. It was a hard pill to swallow. I mean I was expecting it but at the sametime I was holding onto hope that the kids would get to finish this school year with their classmates.

Later that evening, Ella and I crawled into her bed and watched Frozen 2.

Of Course, Trixie joined us!

Thursday, April 2- Sunday, April 5th, we went back to the lake and again I will recap this trip at a later date.

Monday, April 6th-

Happy Birthday to BEN! We love him so much.

I recapped the last year in his life.

He got home from work right at 5pm and we spent the rest of the evening on the back deck.

But Monday afternoon, Ella and I decorated the driveway.

Yes I realize our driveway needs to be pressure washed. That's coming later this month #itspollenseason

We added a festive banner.

Got his gift together. He loves Blanton's. Between the toppers he had and 3 from a friend I was able to spell Blanton's with the toppers. I ordered the stopper display from Etsy!

He has been wanting one of these displays for a while but just wouldn't spend that kind of money on himself. So I did it for him.

Ella and I also baked him a cake and we sang Happy Birthday to him.

Tuesday, April 7th-

My allergies were KILLING me when I woke up so I took a benadryl and went back to sleep. I didn't wake up until 9am. I couldn't believe it.

Around 11:30- I went to pick up my plants that I ordered online. Then I ran into the grocery store again. Ben was home by 2pm and it threw the rest of my afternoon off. Plus it came a little afternoon shower so I didn't get my plants potted. I did take a nap and do some laundry. Ben and I also sat down to watch Last Man Standing and Man with a Plan.

We ended the evening with spaghetti for dinner and an early bedtime.

How are your days looking???
