Girls Trip to Savannah & Tybee Island

Happy Wednesday Friends! I hope your week is going well. I am recapping our first Mother/Daughter girls trip. We went to Savannah and Tybee Island. We stayed in the Hampton Inn and Suites.

We left Thursday, June 25th right at 2pm. We arrived at our hotel right around 6:30, unloaded, and went straight to River Street.

Almost there...

We ate a late dinner at Bernie's on River Street. Then we headed back to the hotel to crash.

Friday, June 26th- we were up early and ready to hit the streets right at 9:30.

Love all the trees and spanish moss.

We walked to the City Market.

and found Savannah's Candy Kitchen.

We even went on a horse and carriage ride.

Travis was the horses name.

He got lots of water and sprayed down after our ride.

After that we headed back toward River Street. We stopped and had lunch at One Eyed Lizzy's.

Of course, I had to make us matching t-shirts.

The girls wanted ice cream but it was so hot outside that it was melting before they could finish eating it.

A little after 4, we headed back up the historical steps to our room to freshen up for the evening.

On our walk to dinner, we stopped to take some pictures.

Look at my beautiful girl

and we needed cups to match the t-shirts.

We had dinner at Huey's. Y'all I had shrimp and grits and they were to die for. Bailey said I inhaled them. HA

Bailey wanted to get at Huey's for the beignets. Oh my goodness, they were heavenly.

I think her face says it ALL!

After dinner, Leigh Anne and I went to Wet Willie's for a drink. I mean can you even go to River Street and NOT go to Wet Willie's.

The girls were busy taking pictures while we grabbed a drink.

Then we headed out on a Ghost Tour. Family Friendly.

Luckily, the tour wasn't scary at all. I don't like anything scary. We got in around 11:30 and CRASHED!

Saturday, June 27th- we were up and headed to Tybee Island at 9am. We had a dolphin cruise at 10:30.

By 10:45, we saw dolphins.

Luckily we saw lots of dolphins.

The smallest lighthouse in Georgia.

We seriously had the BEST tour guide. His name was Conner and he was so FUNNY!!

After the dolphin cruise, we stopped by the Tybee Island sign.

Then we headed to the beach for a little while.
Don't you just love their hats?!?! They got lots of complements.

We loved having our feet in the sand.

The beach was PACKED!

It's hard being this cute. 😉😉

After we got back to the room from the beach, we took showers, and headed back to River Street for dinner. We ate at Spanky's.

Ella wore Bailey's skirt, headband, and shoes. and she was supporting Bailey's business with her shirt so, of course,  another photo session was a must.

We ended our evening with pressing pennies and to-go beignets.

We were back to the hotel and I was laying in bed by 9:30. Party Animals. 😉

Sunday, June 28th- We hit the road right at 9AM to go home. We had an awesome trip and are already talking about next years.
