Our Week with Lunch Dates, My Birthday, and Sea Island.

Hey Y'all! Happy Monday! If you were/are in the path of the weather storm, I pray y'all are all safe and warm. I got behind in blog world so this week, I will work on catching up on recaps. Then next month back to regular blog post. 

Monday, January 5th- 

Ian to work, Ben to the office, coffee and Jesus for me, and Ella slept in once last time before returning back to school tomorrow. I went to Burn at 8:30. After I worked out, I ran a few errands. 

When I got home, I got busy doing all the things...

-cleaning out my purse and bag

-washed and dried our sheets

-get out Valentine's Day decorations

-clean sweep of the house

-clean out the food storage cabinet

-wash and cut up fruit and veggies

Later that evening, once I everyone was home I made quesadillas for dinner. Cleaned up, showered, and finally chilled. 

Tuesday, January 6th- 

Ian to work, Ben to the office, coffee and Jesus for me, and Ella off to school. I took Trixie to the groomers. I got home, got ready, went to pick up Trixie, and then went to meet my mom for lunch at Chicken Salad Chick to celebrate my birthday. I got home, did some laundry, and cleaned out more cabinets. 

That evening, Ella went to work, Ben went to Addison's game, and Ian went to Kathryn's so Trixie and I curled up on the couch for the evening. 

Wednesday, January 7th- 

Ian to work, Ben to the office, coffee and Jesus for me, and Ella off to school. I did some things around the house then got ready and met Leigh Anne for lunch to celebrate my birthday. I went to get a pedicure after lunch and then I headed to my golf meeting. Ella headed to work, I got home, I fixed dinner, cleaned up, showered, and chilled waiting for Ella to get home. 

Thursday, January 8th- 

Ian to work, Ben to the office, coffee and Jesus for me, and Ella off to school. I got busy packing myself for St. Simons. I got most everything finished before my 10:45 hair appointment. Once my hair appointment was finished, I filled up with gas, got home, got ready, finished packing, loaded up the car and Ben and I headed to St. Simons for the weekend for him to play in a golf tournament. 

We passed the Statesboro exit and I sent it to Ella since she will be going to college there in the fall. 

We got to St. Simons around 7:15 that evening and went straight to dinner. Afterwards, we checked into our room, unloaded our luggage, and crashed. 

Friday, January 9th- My Birthday. 

We woke up and I dropped Ben off at the course. I went back to the hotel, ate breakfast, enjoyed a slow morning of reading and getting ready. Then I went shopping on Mallory Street. I went to eat lunch at Golden Isles Olive Oil. Its a market and restaurant. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a salad and a glass of wine. I chatted with this older couple that I swear will be Ben and I in 30 years. They bellied up to the bar- he ordered a bourbon and she ordered a wine. They were the cutest. 

After Ben's round, I went back to pick him up and we headed to The Lodge for Ben to grab a bite to eat.

After he ate, he went out to putt and I watched.

Ella sent us this picture of the girls at the basketball game. 

 

Ben and I went to dinner at Fiddlers. It was so good. We sat at the bar for a few hours, ate, and had a few drinks. 

Saturday, January 10th- 

I dropped Ben off at the course again and I went to walk... Y'all it was beautiful outside. 

After my walk, I got ready and headed back to The Lodge and grabbed lunch. 

I went to walk with Ben for a few holes. 

Then we stopped at a burger place for a late lunch/early dinner. The burger was so good! Ben got a milkshake for dessert! 

We got back to the room, took naps, got ready and headed back to The Lodge for a drink and for Ben to smoke a cigar.

We eventually made our way to the bar for another drink and to share a salad. We got back to our room and crashed. 

Sunday, January 11th- 

I dropped Ben off at the golf course for his final round. Y'all the weather was cold and drizzling. I went back to the room for my quiet time, pack, and get ready. 

I made it back to The Lodge in time to sit in the lobby to enjoy coffee and church online. 

Once church was over, I did a little bit of work. Then I went to the pool house for a bite to eat and a sparkling wine. 

Ben got finished with his final around 12:30. We left and stopped at Larry's Giant Sub for lunch and headed home. 

We got home that evening, Ian had gone to Kathryn's, and Ella went out with friends. We unpacked, showered, got ready for Monday, and I curled up on the couch to wait for Ella to get home.
