I consider myself pretty "techie", but I still use a planner and not my phone calendar and the actual bible and not a bible app! However, I would not consider my mother in law "techie"! She is just now really learning her iPhone, but she did join Instagram and Facebook! ;)

Well a few Sundays ago, I look over at her at church and she is using her Bible App and I'm using my actual Bible! I had to giggle because it totally should have been the other way around! 

I am NOT looking forward to school starting back! For starters, Ian will be in Middle School:( Then comes lots of homework and a schedule :( 

My kids start school August 1....I am so dreading it! 

This is how the kids and I feel about back to school

As much as I dread starting back to school, I LOVE back to school shopping! I love getting the kids new school clothes and school supply shopping is so much FUN!! 

I know that is a total oxymoron....I can't dread school starting back but want to buy new school supplies! 

In case y'all are wondering, I have been awarded the

 World's Worst Mom Award 

by both of my children because I make them put up their own clothes and shower daily! I know I am just AWFUL! ;)

I have really been trying to eat better and I have seen a few pounds fall off, but I REALLY just want a big ole piece of chocolate cake and somehow the pounds not come back! 

If we could make that happen I would be so happy

Thursday Confessions

Hang tight friends, it's almost Friday!! 

Today I am confessing some of my sins with my sweet blogger friend Leigh!

 I STRONGLY dislike going grocery shopping with my kids! I'm talking about stores like Publix, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. It's awful..they want EVERYTHING and since they are bored they constantly touch each other and argue!

I waited to go shopping today because Ian was going to play golf with his granddaddy and a friend invited Ella over to play:) #iknowimawful

Ben had a gift card to Best Buy so he bought himself an Apple Watch.  Well he didn't love it so he offered it to me and I LOVE it! I feel guilty and I know I should tell him to take it back to get himself something else, but I didn't.....

She is really pretty, huh?!?!?

I keep buying more storage on my Mac because I don't want to take the time to delete old files or unnecessary pictures! #lazy

Maybe if I just look like this...Ben will do it for me!!

I can make a mean White Wine Sangria now because I have watched Ben's aunt make it 8,536 times! ;)

I will even share the recipe because it is that GOOD!! 

1 bottle of Riesling

1 cup of Splenda

2 cups of orange juice

 2 lemons 

 2 limes

1 cup of Limon or Orange Rum

Diet 7 up or Sprite

Fruit such as strawberries, blueberries, peaches (optional)

Pour Wine and Rum in pitcher

Squeeze the juice from the lemons and limes

(I use a juicer so I don't get the seeds in the pitcher)

Add the orange juice

give it a good stir

pour in your Splenda

Chill for at least 2 hours, but it's better to chill over night!

When you are ready to enjoy- pour over ice 

then add your fruit to make it look pretty and top off your glass with the Z-up or Sprite!

Don't leave off the Z-Up or Sprite because it really does make a difference! 

I think that is enough confessions for one week! Hope you guys still love me;)

Thursday Confessions

Today I am linking up with my sweet blogger friend, Leigh!

I have the "I'm a Stay at Home Mom" guilt! I should be able to do EVERYTHING....have a perfectly cleaned house, clean laundry, a home cooked meal three times a day, volunteer for everything, be PTO President, Sunday School teacher, exercise and be skinny, etc, etc, etc! It's hard because I find myself not being able to say no or I pile more on my list because "I do stay home" I wish I didn't put that much pressure on myself! or society- I think I have heard "What do you do all day long, watch soap operas and eat bon bon's" a million times! :(

I am an impatient person. I like instant results....I know its an awful trait to have. That is why I do enjoy cleaning(I just don't do it as often as I need to) because hello....instant result

The kids want to "make over" their rooms this summer...meaning painting and new bedding! It really needs to be done and I will be so thankful when it is finished. It's just starting that process that makes me want to break out in hives! 

I will plan a "party" or "host a shower" to move him along on the "house projects" hehe

For instance, I am hosting a couples shower for his brother later in July....just so I can hurry up and get the house pressure washed and the porch and deck painted! Both projects need to be done anyway but you know how easy it is to "wait" but if a party is looming...I know it will get done faster! 

I take Ben shopping with me! Not grocery shopping, but clothes, shoes, etc! If he goes, I will always get more and not have to hear a word about how much money we spent...because duh he was there! 

Most of my friends HATE going shopping with their husbands! Not me I LOVE it!! ;)

That is all for today's confessions! I know they are horrible, but what are "confessions" for!! hehe

Thursday Confessions

Today I am linking up with Leigh for Thursday Confessions! 

I'm a Yeller.....I tell myself everyday not to yell at my kids and everyday I fail! 

I know they hear me and just ignore me, have selective hearing, or whatever...but it takes me acting like a "Crazy Mom" to get them to respond!! 

I am a TOTAL PLANNER NERD! Like I have a whole bin of nothing but planner stickers! It's a crazy addiction, but I love it! I just ordered 2 new sticker packs yesterday! 

What is WRONG with me! I ban myself from the Erin Condren website! 

I only wash my hair maybe twice a week! The other days I just use a little bit of conditioner! 

I have a TON of hair and it tends to be on the dry side because I color it so often....hello grey:(

Since shampooing it is so bad for it...I only do it twice a week! 

I only read trashy novels. I read the 50 shades of grey series TWICE! Seriously, what is wrong with me?!?!?

I love Kristen Proby, Kelly Elliott, and Marie Force! 

I love wine... and I drink it almost everyday and usually more than one glass! 

For instance, I poured myself a glass to type this blog post(I generally type my blog post the night before), so no I am not already drinking between 5 and 6 am when my blog posts get posted ;)

I'm about to go watch the series finale of Nashville and pour another glass! 

Well I feel better getting those off my chest!!

Thursday Confessions

Today I thought it would be fun to join Leigh in her Thursday Confessions Series

So here goes nothing...

No judging ;)

 I confess that I need to dye my hair every 3 weeks...that is how fast my hair grey's

It's awful! Most of the time, I do it myself out of a box! About every 8 weeks, I go see Stacy :)

Speaking of which....I need to make a hair appointment 

Now, I completely understand why my mom went blonde.

I confess that I don't get up and get ready every morning.

 I generally take the kids to school, come home and work around the house, work in my craft room, update my Etsy Shop!

The next thing I know it is 2:30 and it's time to go get the kids and I may or may not have had a shower by then!!

 I do however take a shower every night before bed!!

So that's a plus! 

 I confess that every day I tell myself that I am going to eat healthy and workout 

and everyday I fail :( #thestruggleisreal

 I confess that I spend to much time on my phone and/or computer. 

I always have my phone with me. 

Most of the time, I am responding to text, emails, or Etsy convos, 

and of course, checking social media....

but like I confessed I spend way to much time on my devices

I confess I hate surprises!

This started when I was a little girl! 

I remember very carefully peeling the tape off of my Christmas presents to see what they were and taping them back!

When we registered for shower/wedding presents, I checked the registry everyday to see what was purchased....did the same when I got pregnant!

I know it is awful! 

I even found out that Ben was planning to throw me a 30th Birthday party...

that was many years ago :/

I'm horrible I know, but I can't help it!! 

That is enough confessions for one Thursday!! hahaha
