My Health & Fitness Journey | Month 1

Hey Friends and Happy Wednesday. I have contemplated writing this post for a few weeks. It makes me vulnerable but y’all have always been my biggest cheerleaders so I am putting it all out here.

If you have been around for a while then you know that I lost around 20 pounds with WW in 2019. Last year, I put back on about 12 of those pounds and I am so mad at myself. In reality, I just don’t like how I feel on the inside. I know what I did wrong and I am so ready to change our lifestyle. 2020 was a rough year for us emotionally and I let that get the best of me. Making lifestyle changes is a lot of work and is hard work but not feeling good about myself is just as hard.

My plan is to post updates the last Wednesday of everything month. I know I normally post “What’s Up Wednesday” but I am to the point that I feel like I am repeating myself since I post our Weekly Recaps on Mondays.

With all of that being said in the updates about my journey, I will share the following each month...

*How Many Times I Closed my Apple Rings on my Watch.

*My Favorite Healthy Meal.

* How Many Days I Tracked My Food.

*How Much I Lifted/Squatted.

*My Favorite Exercise Accessory. (Shoes, Workout Clothing, Water Bottle)

*How I Felt Overall that Month.

*A Habit that I was able to Kick.

*How Many Pounds I Lost.

*A Picture of Myself.

Here are a few tools that I am putting into place...

*Daily Wellness Log

As many of you know I LOVE my Erin Condren Planner. I love this A5 Daily Wellness log. I am able to write down what I ate, how much water I drank, what I did for exercise and how many reps, etc. I really love that it is spiral bond. It will easily fit in my purse for on the go.

*Trainer/Workout Buddy

I go to a trainer 3 days a week. I workout with my sweet workout buddy, Kim. Between Becca and Kim, I don’t miss a training session. However, the other 4 days a week I haven’t been doing any form of exercise. And I have NO EXCUSE. We have a Peloton and access to the Peloton App with 1,000’s of workouts from yoga to running. Heck, I could just go walk around my neighborhood (when the weather gets a little warmer)

This was me on Monday. I deadlifted 185 x8

*Apple Watch

I have had an Apple Watch for many years and I just upgraded to the new Apple Watch Series 6.  I really think I am going to love all the new health features.

Do you have any other tips and tricks for my Health & Fitness journey?? Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for cheering me on to be my best self.
