Hey Y'all! Happy Friday! This post is very special and will probably be pretty long and as detailed as I can make it. I want to remember these details forever.
Wednesday, August 20th-
We woke up, got ready, and headed to The Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Course for the final practice round. The Apalachee Golf Team was invited to the event due to the school shooting.
We got to the course and met our tour guide. We first started at the "trailers" where all the production takes place.
In the Graphic trailer some of the kids got to type stuff and make it pop up on the screens like how it would pop up on live TV.
Ella got to type her name and make it pop up like she was a player.
Next we headed to the "media center" this is where they do a lot of the players interviews. It was so COOL!
Ella and Jackson pretended they were "interviewing" each other.
After the media center, they fed us lunch. As we were finishing lunch, up comes Tommy Fleetwood on the 10th fairway. Ella took off after him to get his autograph.
She said they were just talking and walking.

After lunch we walked around for a little bit and looked who we saw on the putting green.
Mr. Scottie Scheffler.
I am not even zooming in.
I thought Ella was about to come out of her skin at this point but boy was I wrong... the day just keeps getting better.
We needed to met back at 1:15 for a surprise. But before that look who we saw coming up the 9th fairway!!

Ella also got to see Scottie tee off on 10.
Then the team got to meet Harris English. He is currently the number 10th golfer in the world. Plus he is a former BULLDAWG!
This picture sums up Coach Phenix in a nutshell. He only accepted interviews with the golf channel and PGA because he KNEW it would benefit his players. He had calls ABC, Opera, and everyone else you can think about for a story and he only accepted this one because of his players. And as you can see he positions himself in the "background" so his players are getting the FULL GLORY! It's just the type of person that he is! He's amazing y'all.
So right after this... the bus was leaving to head back to the school but since we drove ourselves. Ben and Ella headed to follow Harris English for about 3 holes and I headed to the "fun area". Meaning the merch and bar area.
Found myself a "Transfusion" in a cute cup.
After Ben and Ella found me and we spent a small fortune in the pro shop, we started to head toward the exit and look who she saw.

It was such an amazing day for everyone.
I am going to share the video that was aired around 12:30 on this day on the golf channel. It's such a moving video and you might see my girl a time or 2! 😉 Plus EVERY word that each of these players said about COACH is so TRUE! He is truly one of the best and he was saved for a reason. We love you Coach!
