How I Organize My... Jewelry

I mentioned in February that I wanted to post about how I organize all the things. That post didn't happen so I set a goal for this month to start a How I Organize My... series.

Today is the first installment and I am going to share with you how I organize my jewelry.

A few years ago, I made these necklace holders using old frames that I wasn't using anymore.

For this holde, I just removed the glass and screwed in cup hooks to the inside wood part of the frame.

For the other frame, I removed the glass. Covered a piece of cardboard with fabric and hot glued the fabric piece to the inside lip of the frame. I wasn't blogging at the time I made these jewelry holders so I did not take step by step instruction pictures.

I also made this frame to hold my earrings. Again, I removed the glass, I hot glued a piece of chicken wire to the inside lip of the frame. Finally, I hot glued a fabric piece of cardboard to the inside lip of the frame behind the chicken wire. I picked up the sheet of chicken wire at Hobby Lobby.

Then I was able to hang my earrings on it.

Finally, the 3 top drawers of my dresser are filled with these jewelry trays that I picked up from TJ Maxx. Here are similar ones.

As you can see, most of my bracelets can fit in the holes just fine. It's so much easier to see everything.

On top of my dresser, I have a tray from Ben's grandmother that we lost early last year with the jewelry that I wear almost every day.

When I am in the kitchen and need to take my jewelry off while I cook dinner or wash dishes. I put it in this adorable monogrammed dish.  My Alex and Ani bracelets fit in it perfectly.
