Hello Monday | Christmas Concert, Shopping, and a Party

Happy Monday! We have 3.5 days of school this week and then we are out for Christmas Break! Thank goodness. We are in need of a break!

I am recapping our weekend, as usual, and I hope you will join us.

Thursday evening we went to watch Ella in her Christmas chorus concert. They did so well! They sang Christmas is Coming, Sugar Plums, St. Nick at Night, Reindeer on the Roof, When I look at Santa and Happy Christmas to All.

We had the best time listening to her sing.

After the concert, we snapped a few photos with her friends.

Ella and the sweetest music teacher, Ms. Bennnett

Ella's biggest fan club.

After her concert, we went out to dinner. Ella got to pick the restaurant and she chose Top Dawg.

Friday morning rolled around super early. I was up at 4:30 packaging orders to ship out that afternoon. The PTO at Ella's school served the teachers and faculty a Coffee/Hot Cocoa cart. THEY LOVED IT! Then I ran a few errands and met my mom at her doctor's appointment for a post-radiation scan. SHE GOT AN AWESOME REPORT. Everything is healing up very well. One of her vocals cords is a little swollen still but the doctor saw NO CANCER and was very pleased with how the radiation treated the tumor. PRAISE THE LORD!

I know my mail lady will be so thrilled when I do not have package pickups scheduled for every day of the week.

Friday evening, Ben and Ian headed to a basketball game while Ella and I went to the nail salon, grabbed CFA for dinner, built a fire, watched a few episodes of Fuller House season 4, and snuggled on the couch.

Saturday morning I enjoyed the peace and quiet before anyone else woke up...

Then I worked on a few orders, made a new batch of laundry detergent, and did laundry.

Saturday afternoon, We took Ian to hang out with a friend, Ella went with Grammy to watch Ben's cousins daughter in a play, while Ben and I went Christmas shopping with Jud and Stephanie. Sadly, I didn't take one picture.

Sunday morning, We hung around the house. I worked on getting organized for the week, more laundry, swept, mopped, vacuumed, lunches and snacks.

That afternoon, we celebrated Christmas with Ben's dad's side of the family. We had so much fun.

Look who took a selfie with me.

The grandparents each draw a grandkid (but not their own) to buy a gift card for...Does that make any sense? Then they all have to share what gift card they recieved and who they recieved it from.

Amazon for Ian

and Amazon for Ella.

Then it was time for our level to exchange gifts. We play "Drunk Santa" because we all exchange alcohol. 😉

I ended up with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a Wine Purse. Have no fear I will be at TJ Maxx looking for everyone I know an insulated wine tote. Just look how cute it is...

Oh and please not Linny, the pregnant cousin (the one in the green dress) will not be enjoying her Ketal One until after she delivers the baby. She is scheduled for a C-Section on the 27th. 😉

Then the grandparents exchanged "Vintage Gifts" They had to bring something that reminded them of their childhood. Please note all the Charles Chips. I LOVE IT! They had so much fun reminiscing about old times.

I hope you all had a GREAT week and Cheers to all my teacher friends to survive the last week before Christmas break.
