Let's Talk {Red, White, and Blue}

Hello Monday! Hello New Week!

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika

Also, Linking up with Johannah

Today I am talking Red, White, and Blue!! This year everything red, white, and blue has caught my eye!! I have never really decorated for the 4th of July, but this year I did! Let me share some of my red, white, and blue decor with you!!

This is on my front porch!

The drift wood with the fabric hanging is from the AMAZING Rustic Mer{made}

Here is my 3 Tier Tray from Wal-mart.com all decked out for the 4th!

Right when you walk in my front door! I mean nothing screams #merica like an old chevy truck!

The trunk was from Hobby Lobby last year!

To the left of the trunk and truck! :)

American Flag from Hobby Lobby, Freedom frame I made with my amazing Cricut and the "Let Freedom Ring" is from the very talented and my #maker friend Robyn

My Mantle! I LOVE how this turned out!

America cutout is from Hobby Lobby, the American flag heart is from The Rustic Mer{made} and the banner is from

Let's not forget about these awesome bowls that I first learned about from Andrea over at Momfessionals. Then my {almost} sister in law works for Anthropologie so I got them with a discount:) makes them that much more awesome!

We are headed to the lake Saturday and Sunday, but Monday we are hosting a cookout at our house! I plan to make these shortcakes for dessert! They look so yummy! However, I am going to serve them in individual clear cups!!

and this Sangria is a MUST!!

I can't wait to see what Red, White, and Blue you guys share! Maybe I will get a few more ideas to add to our cookout next Monday!! :)

Hope you guys have the best week!

xoxo, Heather

Let's Talk {hair & make up}

Happy Monday Friends,

I hope you guys had a great weekend! We sure did!
I am recapping our weekend tomorrow:)

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika

Today we are talking Hair and Make up!!

First let me start with this crazy mane of mine!!

I have long, thick naturally curly hair!!

I always wear it up because it is long, thick, curly, and always in my face :/
#hairproblems

I swear this is what I look like in the morning!
#truestory

I only wash my hair maybe 2 times a week

I wet it and condition it everyday!

I use this shampoo and conditioner!

After I get out of the shower is the only time I brush my hair
I use the AMAZING wet brush

I had to...

I have had dark curly hair my 36 years on this earth, so it is the only hair I know :)
But after having Ella and realizing that dark, naturally curly hair is not common
I felt like I was always saying this to strangers

HAHAHA...

I have always told Ella "You don't touch curly hair"
if you do it will look like this

HAHA..this curly hair meme are cracking me up!

ok...back to my routine:)

After I use my wet brush
I then add gel to the craziness of my hair!

The only gel that I have found that can tame the beast is

I have used this gel for as long as I can remember!

I use a lot- remember I have a lot of hair ;)

After I have applied my makeup and gotten dressed
I will then blow dry my hair just a little
and  I always use a diffuser!

I have not found any certain blow dryer that I just LOVE,
so I use one until it dies and go to Target/Wal-mart and buy another one!

After it is dried a little bit, I pull back the sides and go!!

Not sure how well you can see my hair in the pictures above, but you get the idea!
long, thick, curly, and always pulled back!
#curlyhairproblems

No onto to makeup!!

I can't wait to read everyones post about their makeup routines because mine is in desperate need of a "make over" :)

The few products I use daily and love are

I put this Moisture Surge on at night

And if you have been reading for a while now
you know my favorite face sunscreen is this

It also doubles as a primer!
AWESOMENESS

I have been using this foundation for a while now!

My color is vanilla

But I am thinking I need something with a little more coverage!

I have a few noticeable day spots right on my cheeks

I think I look like a clown but instead of the red spots,
I have dark spots...lol

So I can't wait to see what foundation you guys use!!

I do apply my sunscreen and foundation with this guy

I love this beauty blender!!

I use this loose powder over my foundation

My color is Translucent Light

My FAVORITE mascara is L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in black

I use whatever eyeliner, blush, and eyeshadow!

I need a "summer" lipstick!

I have recently discovered this for my eyebrows...

My color is brown
I use the brush part to shape them and the liner to "fill in"

I store all of my make up in an "up to date" Caboodle

I used google images for all my "stuff"!

I can't wait to read all of your hair and make up routines!!

xoxo, Heather

Mondays, Mochas, Motivation, & {Mommas}

Oh Monday after Spring Break
you are ROUGH!

The kids and I are looking forward to Summer even more now!

Today's post is going to be about Mommas and Motivation!

I am linking up with Andrea and Erika

This Month's 'Let's Talk' is about Moms!!

Here is a "Pin" that I found and thought it would be great motivation when we think we are doing it all wrong!!

Read the Blog Post here

Remember it's the little things that add up
like dancing in the car, racing down the grocery aisle, giving eskimo kisses, splashing in a puddle,
The list I posted has great ideas!
Not to mention that when you actually do these "fun" things, the laughter is contagious!

Here is a glimpse into my journey as a Mother!

The day we told our family we were pregnant with Ian Michael!

My pregnant belly!
Oh I was HUGE!

Ian Michael was born December 5th, 2004

Ian was 4 days LATE! But he was so worth the pain! :)

He was always a happy baby!

Then Ella Marie came along!!

Ella Marie was born October 10th, 2007

She was a happy baby, as well!!

Here is my blessings from this weekend!

Motherhood is a WILD ride but worth EVERY Moment!!

I think this tumbler is PERFECT!!

Mombie- an exhausted mother who feeds on coffee and survives on wine!
#amen

Here is My AWESOME Mom!
The best momma and Grandma Deb!

I am so thankful for everything that she did for me growing up as a single mother!
The strength and selflessness that she had was AMAZING!

I am so thankful that my kids got her as "Grandma Deb"
She gives them her undivided attention and let's them get away with ANYTHING!
She loves them to pieces!

My Mother in Law!

So thankful that I could become a part of the Bramlett family!
Colleen is one of the kindest people I know!
She loves with her whole heart!
Ian and Ella are blessed to have her as their Grammy!

Happy Monday Friends!

For us it is

xoxo, Heather

Let's Talk {Guys}

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for...

Here is a list of other topics!

The #1 guy in my life is this hottie!

Ben Bramlett

I can honesty say without a doubt I would be LOST without this man!

He completes me and he is my better half because I am a better person when I am with him!

He is the rock that holds the kids and I together!

He is my voice of reason!

This past Thursday I did a #tbt about Ben and I dating that you can read about!

I am so very thankful that God decided April 6th, 1979 this little guy would come into the world

Thank you for all you do for us Ben!
We could never thank you enough!!

I love you!!

I'm even more thankful that our paths crossed all through middle and high school and on into college!!

This guy captured my heart December 5th, 2004
The day I became a mother!

Ian Michael

This kid has been full of life since the moment he entered into this world!

He was the first grandchild on Ben's side and the first grandchild in 6 years on my side, so you can only imagine how rotten he became from the get go!!

He is so funny....like make your stomach hurt from laughing funny!
He is sarcastic and it gets it honestly....his daddy is the same way!
He has a heart of gold but would never admit it!
Most days he drives me to the brink of insanity but I would not change his personality for anything!
He is kind, smart, and loyal!!

I call him bubs or bubbie and it drives him crazy! Apparently I say it so often that some of our friends call him that as well to be funny ;)

Thanks for making me a mom

I love you!

This is his hospital picture!!

Let's not forget my fur guy!

Duke Bramlett

Duke weaseled his way into my heart September 2013!

He is so dang cute and full of personality!

He loves when Ben walks in the door from work because he knows he is going to play with him!
Duke will start barking and run and get on our bed just waiting on Ben to play with him! It is pretty funny!!

When he is home with me all day, he looks like this...

Sleeping somewhere!

or you will find him here....

in carpool with me!!

These are the main guys in my life and I love them with my whole heart!!
I am so blessed to be able to do life with them!!

Happy Monday friends!

I'll see you back here tomorrow for March Goals!

Make today count...because only every 4 years does February get an extra day!!

xoxo, Heather
