Show and Tell Tuesday {My Hometown}

Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday

My Hometown Edition!

I am from the great state of Georgia!

I was born and raised in Georgia!
Georgia is HOME!

I even made a mason jar...

Nothing screams Southern Belle like a mason Jar ;)

Ben and I made Bethlehem, GA our home in August 2003

When we first moved to Bethlehem...the only thing near our house was this
Shell Station

In 2008, the Barrow Crossing development started and it was like the HEAVENS opened up! I no longer had to travel to Winder to grocery shop....Winder is a whole 15 minutes away;)

In Spring of 2009, the shops started opening....

Target and Belk were first...I mean Target is my home away from home:)

and it has a Starbucks right when you walk in (insert heart eye emoji)

Soon after Publix, Michael's and Staples opened (Staples is now closed)

The Little Town of Bethlehem is really growing now....we are the last major stop on 316 before you get the Athens, GA~ GO DAWGS!!

The Gate Way is also a new development...

We even have a movie theater

We really are growing up in the world:)

We have lots of other developments and lots more coming!!

We have felt very blessed to be raising our children in Bethlehem, GA!
We love the feel of a small town, but the connivence of all the local shops and restaurants!!

But let's not forget to mention that we have a Chick-fil-a, so all is right in my part of the world!

hehe!

and last but certainly not least....1,000 of people come from all over the state and surrounding states to mail their Christmas cards from Bethlehem...

just so they can stamp this stamp on their cards..

"Christmas Greetings from Bethlehem" with the Naivety scene!!

Here is the link to My Little Town of Bethlehem

I love that in the actual downtown area, the street names are:
Manger Ave
Star Street
Christmas
David Ave
Joseph Street
Mary Ave

Of course, Bethlehem is most active at Christmas time with a LIVE Naivety scene!!

I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my hometown!!

I can't believe "The Little Town of Bethlehem" is growing up ;)

xoxo,

Heather

  2. Your town looks SO cute! I love Georgia! I have been there a few times...once in 1996 for the Atlanta Olympics....we saw the soccer games in Athens and that converted my dad to becoming a UGA fan...he still roots for them 20 years later! That's how much he loved Georgia!
