Fall Recipe Exchange

Happy Fall Y'all! It is FINALLY starting to feel like Fall here in Georgia! All the Praise hands! When I think of Fall and Food, I think of one-pot meals and crockpot suppers!!

I hope you will join us today as we share a few of our favorite fall recipes!! I will be sharing Baked Penne with Sausage and Peppers.

A few weeks ago, I started searching Pinterest for dutch oven recipes. I recently purchased this one from Amazon and I LOVE it.

I knew I wanted to try this recipe. but I ended up tweaking it just a little bit.

Baked Penne with Sausage and Peppers.

You will need:

1 link of beef smoked sausage
1 bell pepper, sliced (I used a red pepper)
1 medium onion, sliced
1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce
1 box of penne pasta
shredded parmesan cheese for topping

I boiled my penne until tender in my Dutch Oven. While the pasta was boiling, I cut up my smoke sausage and sauteed my onions and peppers in a different pan.
Once the penne was cooked, I drained the pasta. I poured it back into the Dutch Oven, along with the sausage, pepper, onion, and pasta sauce.

I cooked it in the oven on 350 for about 15 minutes. Then I pulled it out of the oven and sprinkled on my parmesan cheese. Then I cooked it for an additional 5 minutes or so until the cheese was melted.

It was so good. But this dish made a lot of food so it would be great for a big family dinner!

We also love potato soup, taco soup, and chili this time of year.

What is your favorite fall recipe??
