Happy Tuesday Y'all! I hope your week and new year are off to a great start! I am back today with a recap of last week and this past weekend.

Monday, December 25th- Christmas Day

We tried to sleep in but Ben had us all up at 6:40. UGH! He is such a morning person. The kids had a sleepover in Ian's room so I got the coffee going, lit a candle, let the dogs potty, and fed them before the kids were allowed to come up and open gifts!!

Ben got concerts tickets.

Sweet Duke.

After gifts, we showered and started breakfast before Grammy and Chris got to the house.

Mid Afternoon, it was time to pour a glass! HA

The rest of Christmas day we chilled, the boys played Playstation and smoked cigars in the garage because it rained all day.  Grammy fixed our traditional Christmas meal of Ritz chicken, Au Gratin potatoes, and Fried Okra.

I started the dishwasher and then we all crashed.

Tuesday, December 26th-

Coffee and Jesus. Then I did a clean sweep of the house, got ready, and headed to pick up nuggets, wings, and a stop at Publix.

Later that afternoon, Grammy and Chris came back over to hang out, then Addison and Laney Brook came to hang out with Ella. We ate and we played games.

Ben got me to purchase this ear kit from Amazon and he makes everyone try it! HA Addison quickly became obsessed with it too!

We crawled into bed around 11 and crashed after a fun filled day.

Wednesday, December 27th-

Coffee and Jesus. I enjoyed a slow morning and then went to the shed to start bringing in all of the Christmas storage tubs and discovered that part of our fence had fallen. So now I am on the hunt for a fence person. Oh the joys of owning a home. Which I have had to cover up that space so the dogs can't escape.

We were able to get all the Christmas decorations down and back in the shed but the house was a MESS! I ordered El Real for dinner and then soaked in the bath before crawling into bed around 8:30. I was asleep before 9!

Thursday, December 28th-

Coffee, Jesus, and a quiet morning before Ella and I headed to the nail salon. We grabbed lunch at Barberitos while the boys went to Waffle House for breakfast and to play golf at The Georgia Club with Chris.

The girls got home and I worked around the house for a little bit and then moved onto blog writing. I didn't accomplish much more for the rest of the day! I did make catalina chicken, dirty rice, and green beans for dinner. I cleaned up, showered, and crawled into bed.

Friday, December 29th-

Coffee and Jesus. I did some laundry, then we got ready and headed to meet Ben at Top Golf. We rented a bay for 2 hours! I took LB home and then we all chilled for a little bit, I did a clean sweep of the upstairs, and then found myself on the couch for the rest of the evening.

Saturday, December 30th-

Coffee and Jesus. My dad, stepmom, brothers, and sister along with all their families were supposed to come over for breakfast but we had to cancel due to sickness. BOOO. We were super bummed.

Instead, my gang went to The Avalon for some shopping. We stopped at Marlow's Tavern for some appetizers for lunch and Ben and I enjoyed a few drinks.

I love my new bracelet from Kendra Scott. It is both kids birthstones.

We chilled at home while we watched Georgia play in the Orange Bowl and they killed FSU. 63-3.

This is how Trixie felt about the game.....

We had Jersey Mike's for dinner. Once the game was over, everyone headed for their rooms, and I enjoyed some reading and scrolling on the couch before I called it a night. Oh I did order groceries to be delivered on Sunday morning.

Sunday, December 31st- NYE

The boys were up early to head to Atlanta Athletic Club to play golf with Ian's roommate, Jay and his dad. I slept in and woke up to groceries delivered on my front porch. It was awesome. I put the groceries away, let the dogs go potty, fed them, and then poured my coffee and did my quiet time reading.  I got myself together and ran to Striplings to pick up the sausage for our NYE low country boil.

Ella went to Addison's to ring in the new year. While me, Ben, Ian, and Kathryn rang in the new year comfy on the couch!! We struggled to stay awake to midnight but we did manage and even had a new years toast.

Meanwhile, Ella was living her best life with her friends.

Happy New Year! Welcome 2024! Can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!
