Friday Favorites | Georgia on my Mind Edition

Happy Friday Friends!! Well, this week FLEW by since Ben and I were gone on our little getaway for 2 days!! It was so NICE!! So nice in fact that I am dedicating this week's Friday Favorites to share with y'all some of our FAVORITE moments on our trip! Anytime, Ben and I can get away just the two of us....it's ALWAYS A FAVORITE!

Monday afternoon, Granddaddy came to hang out with the kids till Grammy joined them later that afternoon. I went to pick up Ben and we headed to Chattanooga, TN.

We got to Chattanooga around 4pm. We got checked into our hotel, unpacked, and found the nearest restaurant to eat dinner and get a drink!

We ate at the Big River Grille & Brewing Works!! We had the nachos to start with then shared the BBQ chicken salad. They were both divine.

We also enjoyed a few Mules. I had the American mule and Ben had a Kentucky Mule. It was made with Bourbon instead of Vodka.

After dinner, we walked down the street to an outside bar. I had a glass of wine while Ben enjoyed a Maker's and Ginger.

I also meet the SWEETEST Frenchie there ever was... His name is LeRoy. He was a blue Frenchie. He weighed 26 pounds and was 5 years old. I told y'all I fell in love with him. I tried to steal him. I told Ben our next pup has to be a Frenchie!! He was the BEST!

After, I got my puppy fix. We headed back to the hotel and crashed into bed.

We were up early Tuesday morning! We enjoyed breakfast at Cracker Barrel before heading to Arrington Vineyards.

So beautiful!!

We did a wine tasting. We chose 4 white wines and 4 red wines.  When we finished the tasting, we purchased a bottle of the Antebellum to share outside on the patio! Ben smoked a cigar, while we sipped our wine and just talked! It was a great way to spend a Tuesday morning!!

The vineyard was only 30 minutes south of Downtown Nashville. When we arrived in Nashville a little after 2pm, our room wasn't ready so we walked into Downtown and got lunch at Blake Shelton's new restaurant Ole Red. They had live music. It was a really cool restaurant.

We shared Nachos again and a burger!! These redneck nachos were made with kettle chips. They were so good!!

After lunch, Ben got a text that our room was ready which was perfect timing because the sky started getting really dark and it started to thunder.

On the way to the hotel, I snapped a picture of my new Cocktails and Country Music plastic wine glass. Because when in Nashville...

As we got settled into our room, it came a DOWNPOUR so what did we do...TOOK A NAP! It was downright heavenly.

After a quick nap, we got ready to head back to downtown. We went to one of our FAVORITE rooftop bars- The Stage. We listened to live music and enjoyed a drink before heading to The Ryman.

A little before 7pm, we walked over to The Ryman for the "Georgia on my Mind" concert. The Peach Pickers made up of Dallas Davidson, Ben Hayslip, and Rhett Akins have hosted this concert for the past 5 years to raise money for the Georgia Music Foundation. Over the past 5 years, they had raised $300,000 in music education grants.
The Peach Pickers have written over 70 NUMBER ONE HITS! How CRAZY is that??

Performing at the concert was...

John Berry, Kristian Bush, Travis Denning, Chris Janson, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Trea Landon, Dustin Lynch, Michael Ray, Charles Kelly, and MORE!

Governor Nathan Deal and First Lady Sandra were also in attendance.

It was such an AMAZING concert for such an AMAZING cause. It is one of our FAVORITE concerts to attend each year. Nashville is one of our FAVORITE cities to visit. If all goes as planned next year, we will visit Nashville 3 times!!

Just for fun, here is a #flashbackfriday

Dallas and I at the 2016 Georgia on my Mind concert. Trust me, I totally fangirled on him.

What is one of your FAVORITE cities to visit??
